Mustang Parts - Individualizing Your Mustang

by Tom S Powers

We all know that Mustang parts cost money. "Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go" states this exactly. Unfortunately, what you pay for these parts only minimally increase the performance when racing. But for that little bit, it can cost thousands.

But what if racing isn't your goal? Suppose your desire is simply a bit more power when you hit the gas, or maybe you just want to keep your car in running order? What is there for the average person who only wants to personalize their car for everyone to admire?

The Mustang has always been a great car to customize. Performance parts are available from Ford and many other sources. With a wide range of Mustang accessories, including wheels, chrome door locks, steering wheels and gear shift knobs, the Mustang is a is hit among car enthusiasts.

You can get supercharger kits that make wicked power gains for about $3000, at the cost of your warranty. But with some headers and a new exhaust out of the Mustang parts bin, you can make a few extra horsepower, give your car a better sound, and keep the factory happy.

Wheels are a good place to start when you want to jazz up your car's personality. The tendency is to use larger wheels along with understated tires. They look a lot like a street racer but they're likely to run a bit rougher and louder than standard tires. That can be jarring when you're driving home after an exhausting day on the job. The good news is you can go with smaller wheels, fatter tires and higher sidewalls that will give you a smoother ride without have to skimp on your car's appearance.

Usually the last thing to cross someone's mind is car graphics. Not simply sponsor stickers that are present on race cars and that have recently become popular among street racers, but tribal patterns, flames, or even pinstriping reminiscent of the rockabilly days. Many variations are available for your specific year and model as a Mustang part. They are available in easy to remove vinyl sheets so that you can change them to suit your mood. They aren't a permanent commitment like a custom paint job, and they don't cost nearly as much.

We all know that mustang parts cost money. Parts such as the mustang ford parts, the performance kind, are even available from the manufacturer. And mustang accessories, from wheels to chrome door lock buttons, are everywhere. Wheels are an easy place for an owner to give their car a little personality. The trend is toward bigger wheels with low-profile tires. They're very street racer, but tend to run rougher and nosier than stock tires. Car graphics are the last thing people will ever think about. These graphics also comes with year specific Mustang model.
